The Sun Shone Yesterday

The sun shone yesterday high in a cloudless sky

And the stars smiled out of a midnight blue,

The warm night breezes wafted gently through my hair

And softly stroked my body with it’s tender fingers,

The new moon glowed forth,

Lighting your face and your eyes as you kissed my lips

And my heart awakened to a new belonging,

Dawn came early

Telling us a new day, a new love was born,

The sun Shone yesterday,

Don’t let it rain today.
