What is it you’ll wish for dear friend

If granted just one today,

Will it be that dreams always come true,

Find long, lasting love on the way?

Will you wish for peace on this earth,

An end to this mindless pain,

For smiles to outweigh millions of tears

That fall from sad eyes like the rain?

Will you wish for money to spend

On things you’ve seen on T.V.,

Fast cars, chic clothes, jewellery by the score,

Be the image you’d like to be?

Will you travel to foreign shores,

Places where you’ve never been,

Bathe in warm waters, lie on white sands,

Treasure the beauty that you’ve seen?

Will you wish just to be happy

With loved ones there by your side,

Following pathways of righteousness,

Let wisdom of old be your guide?

MY WISH dear friend is to be free

From all these chains that bind me,

To run with the wind, dance in the rain,

Fly like an eagle once again.
