Another night, another sky………..

Another night, another sky,

Each different from the last,

Some drift by so slowly,

Others roll on fast.

Another night in moonlight swathed,

In some, stars can’t be seen,

Each one full of memories,

Things that might have been.

So many treasures nightime holds,

The jewels of time gone by,

Brightening the darkest hour,

Sparkling in the sky.

Like childhood days of long ago,

So carefree and serene,

Sunny days all year long,

Troubles never seen.

Those we’ve lost and friends departed,

If only we had told,

Love we held within us,

Comfort, growing old.

Other nights with sorrow shared,

So slowly shed a tear,

Missing you, needing you,

Wishing you were here.

Another night, another sky,

Then dawns a brand new day,

Each different from the last,

Life takes us on our way.
