Memories of Lynne Groves 06.06.1956 - 07.11.2007 |
|
This site is dedicated to the memory and poetry of Lynne Groves. Lynne was a nurse at Warwick Hospital (UK) for over 24 years, a mother to Ben and Daniel and loving wife to Bob. Her career as a nurse was cut short due to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). When the MS took a grip she was severly disabled and sought comfort in her poetry and John Denver music. Lynne had been writing poetry long before she had MS. Often getting inspiaration from major events in her life. Some say her greatest poem is "In Loving Memory" written shortly after her Father died. Lynne followed John Denver from her late teens then for the rest of her life. Along the way, meeting some of her closest friends through the JD groups and meetings she would attend. With the JD group she travelled to Aspen to John Denvers home land, where she had the time of her life. It was there she met other Singers, such as Steve Brook and Mark Robinson, to name a few. These singer/song writers music gave her such pleasure and relaxation whilst battling MS. Please see the links page to see these truely remarkable people. Please enjoy your time and memories with Lynne. |
